The marketing audit for restaurants

Local search, reviews and social, checked monthly.

A restaurant is found on a map, judged by its reviews and photos, and chosen in a few seconds. EchoPilot checks the pieces that decide that moment: the Google Business Profile with its hours, photos and posts, the review count and how recent they are, the social accounts guests look at, and whether the website has a menu and a way to book or order.

The restaurant rule set requires an online booking or ordering path and up-to-date hours and photos, and skips the blog and newsletter rules that rarely apply. Every month the audit re-runs, shows what changed, and lists the next actions; on the higher plans, EchoPilot drafts the posts and review replies for a person on your team to approve.

After the first audit

A typical first 90 days

The memo lists at most eight actions, ordered gating first, then by severity. For a restaurant business the first ones usually look like this; yours come from your own audit's failures.

  1. Claim and verify the Google Business Profile, set the hours and upload at least ten recent photos.
  2. Add a booking or ordering path the audit can find from the homepage, and a clickable phone number.
  3. Set up review requests after each visit and reply to every review, negatives within a week.
  4. Publish a Google Business post every two weeks and a social post at least weekly, from the approval queue.

Each action in a real memo carries the rule ids behind it, concrete steps, an effort estimate and an owner: you, or EchoPilot drafting for your approval.

Questions from restaurants

Do I need a website for the audit?

Yes, a public website is the starting point. The rules then read the Google Business Profile, reviews and social profiles linked from it or given in the intake.

What does the audit read from Google Business Profile?

Whether the listing is claimed, the primary category, hours, photo count and age, posts in the last 30 days, the website link, reviews and owner replies. Owner-only fields need the profile connected in the app.

Does EchoPilot post to my Google Business Profile or Instagram?

On the Growth and Managed plans it drafts posts and review replies. Nothing is published until a person on your account approves it, and the approval is recorded.

Which rules are skipped for restaurants?

The blog and post-recency rules (E1, E2), because a restaurant rarely runs a blog. The booking path, hours and photo rules are required instead.
