How to import reviews and post replies

First-time setup (once)

1. Install the extension. Add it to Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, or Vivaldi. An EchoPilot button appears near the top-right of your browser. If you don't see it, click the puzzle-piece icon and pin it.
2. Create your connection key. In EchoPilot, go to Integrations → Browser extension. Name a key something you'll recognise, like "My laptop", and create it. A code starting with ep_ext_… appears. Copy it now, because it's shown only once. If you lose it, make a new one.
3. Paste the key into the extension. Click the EchoPilot button, then Settings. Paste the key and click Save. A green dot and Connected appear at the top.

Importing reviews (any time)

4. Open your listing. Go to google.com/maps, search your business by name, and click it so the full listing with reviews opens.
5. Click Scan & Import Reviews. On the right page, the button becomes active. The Found / Imported counters move, and you're done.
6. See them in EchoPilot. Imported reviews appear under Reviews, each with a draft reply ready for you to approve.

Posting replies and updates

7. Approve in EchoPilot. In Reviews or Posts, edit a draft if you like, then click Approve. Nothing goes anywhere until you do.
8. Open your listing as the owner. Sign in to Google with the account that manages your Business Profile, then open your listing.
9. Fill and post. Open the EchoPilot button and go to the Queue tab. Click Fill reply (or Fill update). The text appears in Google's box. Read it, then click Post yourself. EchoPilot marks it as posted.

The three status lights

• Connected: your account is linked. If it's red, redo step 3.
• Review page: you're on a Google listing it recognises. A regular search results page won't work, even if it shows reviews. Open your business's actual listing.
• Owner view: you're signed in as the profile's manager, and Google's reply controls are showing. This one is needed only for posting.

Installing the extension (developer mode)

Download the zip from Integrations → Browser extension → Download. Unzip it to a folder you'll keep, because the browser loads it from there. Then:

• Chrome: go to chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top-right), click Load unpacked, and select the folder.
• Brave: go to brave://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top-right), click Load unpacked, and select the folder.
• Edge: go to edge://extensions, turn on Developer mode (left sidebar), click Load unpacked, and select the folder.
• Opera: go to opera://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top-right), click Load unpacked, and select the folder.
• Vivaldi: go to vivaldi://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top-right), click Load unpacked, and select the folder.

Your browser may show a "Disable developer mode extensions" notice when it starts. That's normal, so dismiss it and the extension keeps working. Firefox and Safari aren't supported.
